LIXIL Announces Brand Leadership Changes in International Fittings

LIXIL Corp., maker of pioneering water and housing products, announces the decision by Thomas Fuhr, Leader Fittings, LIXIL International, to leave the company in early July 2022 to pursue new opportunities.

Together with the Fittings leadership team, Bijoy Mohan, Leader LIXIL International, will continue to drive the success and further operational development of the company’s global fittings segment, which among others comprises R&D, production, and supply chain, including for the GROHE brand.

“Thomas Fuhr has developed a strong organization across LIXIL International Fittings, which will be the foundation for the future growth and development of our global operations. Thomas has been a valuable member of LIXIL’s global management team, and we thank him for his significant contribution and very successful leadership during the last 10 years. We wish him all success in his future professional endeavors and with his personal goals,” said Bijoy Mohan.

Thomas Fuhr’s focus was on innovation and sustainability leadership, defining new production technologies and extending manufacturing capacities. The expansion of manufacturing processes included the introduction of state-of-the-art overmolding technology in Lahr as well as groundbreaking 3D metal-printing in Hemer. With his commitment to sustainability, Thomas Fuhr has been instrumental to several environmental initiatives across the organization. Under his leadership all eight LIXIL fittings plants have become CO2-neutral and thanks to the less plastic initiative all unnecessary plastic in GROHE product packaging will be eliminated. Furthermore, during Thomas Fuhr’s tenure, four GROHE bestsellers received the Cradle to Cradle Certified® product standard in Gold.
