The Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) held its 90th Annual Business Conference between June 18 and June 20 at the Delta St. John’s, Newfoundland, in conjunction with their 90th Anniversary.
CIPH thanks the ABC 2023 Chair, Sean Kelly (EMCO Corp.), and his committee—Brent Cornelissen (OS&B Industrial), Siân Smith (Riptide Fulfillment Corp.), Sam Strange (Wolseley Canada), Mike Weiss (IPEX Inc.), Lisa Pratt (Franke Kindred Canada Ltd.), and Lee Bell (EMCO Corp.)—for putting together a business and social program relative to the theme “Rock Solid After 90 Years” for members to enjoy.
ABC 2023 attracted more than 300 delegates, companions, and guests from across North America with many opportunities to build new relationships and connect with old friends over the 2.5-day conference.
This year’s conference speakers featured Mark McCarthy, who provided delegates and companions with stories and progression of Newfoundland through the years and its changes; Janice Gross Stein, who delivered her presentation on global issues; Brad Gushue, who presented on the Roadmap to a Rock Solid Team; Jennifer Ménard-Shand, who presented on Moving Reconciliation Forward; and keynote speaker Mary Walsh, who shared innovations and advancements made by the plumbing and heating industry professionals, who remain Rock Solid After 90 Years.
During CIPH’s 91st Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, David Hammond (A.O. Smith Enterprises) was elected the CIPH’s 76 Chair of the Board.
