WQRF Is Accepting Proposals for New Poster Competition

The Water Quality Research Foundation is inviting proposals for its first-ever Poster Presentations. Top posters will be presented during the 2024 Water Quality Association Convention & Exposition, March 5–7 in Orlando, Florida.

The competition is intended to stimulate research concepts for undergrad through post-graduate level students of environmental, engineering, other science-related fields, or education. The poster must fall into at least one of the following categories:

  • Research: Propose studies for use cases, efficacy, cost/benefits, and more on the topic of in-home water treatment technologies such as point-of-use or point-of- entry devices.
  • Community Projects/Education: Design an innovative and effective educational program that showcases the benefits of using readily available in-home water treatment technologies.

The winning submission will receive a $1,000 educational scholarship as well as some travel expenses, thanks in part to funding created in honor of the late David Loveday, former Water Quality Association Global Governmental Affairs Director.

“Creating a more sustainable and resilient water supply is going to be an ongoing conversation for future generations,” said WQRF’s Operations Manager Callie Matheny. “WQRF is pleased to be able to offer this educational opportunity, and we are excited to see what students come up with.”

Submissions are due at 11:59 p.m. CT December 31, 2023. For more information, visit wqrf.org/posters.
