WQA’s RO Sizing Workshop Returns to Online Format

WQA logoWQA’s popular Commercial Industrial RO Sizing workshop, offered online for the first time last fall, returns this spring in a series of seven weekly sessions providing personalized instruction on the Zoom platform. WQA-certified personnel can earn up to 0.1 Continuing Professional Development credits per session—up to 0.7 CPD total for the course—of the 2 to 3 CPD required for recertification.

“This highly rated workshop previously had only been offered during the WQA Convention and Exposition, so we’re pleased we can now open it up to a wider audience,” said Tanya Lubner, PhD, WQA’s Professional Certification and Training Director. “Peter Cartwright uses breakout sessions and the larger group platform to full advantage in helping students practice calculating multiple variables associated with RO sizing.”

Cartwright, MWS, PE, a consulting engineering company owner who has been in the water and wastewater treatment industry since 1974, last year was named to the WQA Hall of Fame in recognition of his long involvement in the association. In each workshop session he will address an aspect of RO system design to meet final system specs that include percentage recovery, permeate quality, feed flow rate, blending, number of RO elements needed, and required pump pressure.

The hour-long live webcasts will be held on April 8, 15, 22, and 29 and May 6, 13, and 20. All sessions start at 11 a.m. EDT (10 a.m. CDT).

The seven-session workshop cost is $369 for WQA’s Core or Premier Members, $449 for E-members, and $820 for non-members. Information about joining WQA can be found at wqa.org/membership. For more information about the workshop or to register, visit wqa.org/ROSizingWorkshop.
