WQA’s 2024 Business Boot Camp to Focus on Recruitment

The Water Quality Association’s 2024 Business Boot Camp will focus on strategies to drive recruitment and retention success to help water treatment dealers grow their business in a tight labor market. The sixth annual Boot Camp will be held Monday, March 4, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, one day before the start of the WQA Convention & Exposition.

Boot Camp is a full day of business skills development designed primarily for water treatment providers, business managers, and sales staff. Speakers include:

  • John Frehse, Senior Managing Director at Ankura Consulting, a global expert services and advisory firm
  • Candice Wentling, MWS, Director of Certified Action
  • Ashley Green, General Manager at All About Water – Ecowater Systems
  • Lupe Ledezma, General Manager for Culligan Southwest Inc.

A morning session on leadership will deal with communication skills, empathy, and active listening and will help water treatment providers understand how to set expectations and provide constructive feedback. An interactive afternoon session will foster a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences leading to an enlightening exploration of the challenges and solutions shaping today’s workplace.

Attendees can register for Boot Camp at the same time they register for the Convention at an additional fee of $405 for WQA members and $560 for nonmembers. All Boot Camp attendees will receive one complimentary job posting on the WQA Career Center (a $345 value for WQA members). Full details can be found at wqa.org/bootcamp.

From March 5 to 7, water treatment providers can focus on both the technical and operational sides of their businesses at the WQA Convention & Exposition, also at the Orange County Convention Center. The Convention provides three days of education sessions, networking opportunities, and a two-day exposition showcasing all the latest water treatment trends, technologies, and services. Full Convention details and registration information can be found at wqa.org/convention.
