WQA & NGWA to Host Webinars on Federal Water Quality Actions and Supply Chain for Water Week 2022

The Water Quality Association & the National Groundwater Association are hosting two educational briefings next week in conjunction with WQA’s annual Congressional Fly-In. All interested parties are invited to take part in the free Zoom webinars on April 26 and 27.

The “State of the Industry: Federal Action on Water Quality” webinar takes place at noon EDT on Tuesday, April 26, and will focus on U.S. federal legislative and regulatory actions to improve drinking water quality. WQA Executive Director Pauli Undesser, MWS, CAE, will moderate the panel, which features:

  • Navis Bermudez, Deputy Assistant Administrator, EPA Office of Water
  • U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI)
  • U.S. Rep. David Valadao (R-CA)
  • Xochitl Torres Small, Under Secretary for Rural Development at the USDA

The “Navigating Supply Chain Disruption” webinar takes place at noon EDT on Wednesday, April 27. A panel of industry experts will discuss the causes of supply chain disruption and how businesses have pivoted in response. WQA President Jim Stern, of A.O. Smith, will moderate the session, which features:

  • A presentation by Bill Donohue, President, Executive Director, GENEDGE Alliance (MEP/NIST)
  • A panel discussion involving:
    • Mike Smudz, Amtrol Global Supply Chain Director
    • Chuck Chaitovitz, Chamber of Commerce
    • Bill Donohue, GENEDGE Alliance
    • Marcus Meyer, Grundfos

WQA’s Government Affairs Department has organized the briefings in connection with the annual Congressional Fly-In, during which WQA members are meeting in small group sessions with Congressional staff members to discuss water quality issues. The events are part of Water Week 2022.
