Introducing Tony Phang: Merging a Rich Engineering Past with WCC’s Future

Tony PhangTony Phang’s journey in the world of engineering is as diverse as it is impressive. A 2019 Mechanical Engineering graduate from the University of North Dakota, his childhood passion for LEGO, math, and science naturally steered him toward a career in engineering. Before joining the WCC family, Tony made significant strides at esteemed companies. At Marvin Windows and Doors, he innovatively optimized manufacturing lines and introduced automation, while at Anderson Windows and Doors, he concentrated on amplifying equipment efficiency and reliability. Furthermore, his tenure at the Ultra Machining Co. saw him deep-diving into the realm of Precision CNC components catering to pivotal sectors like medical devices, aviation, and defense.

In April, Water Control Corp. (WCC) had the pleasure of welcoming Tony Phang as our new Project Engineer. With a unique approach to onboarding, Tony initially acquainted himself hands-on with our production line, focusing on our skidded systems. This deep dive wasn’t just to get his feet wet; it was an intentional strategy to master the nuances of our operations.

Swiftly transitioning, Tony now adeptly handles sizing, spec’ing, and design work for an array of water systems, from commercial softeners to water reclamation projects. His hands-on experience, combined with his rich academic and professional background, makes him a powerhouse in design and implementation.

Away from the drafting boards and systems, Tony rejuvenates by immersing himself in hobbies like hunting, fishing, and golfing. As he integrates into the WCC ecosystem, his alignment with our core values and an unwavering belief in the timeless relevance of water promises a synergistic future. We’re excited for what lies ahead with Tony in our ranks!
