This year’s iconic event, hosted in Vienna, Austria, on May 10–17, 2026, brings 35 competing countries together for tens of thousands of spectators to enjoy. Building on the event’s environmentally responsible approach, this partnership reinforces Culligan’s goal to deliver filtered, great-tasting water while accelerating sustainable hydration options globally.

Responsible Hydration at the World’s Largest Music Competition Event

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 has been named a “Green Event” by Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) and it holds a “Green Production” certification with a clearly defined ambition to set a global standard for the sustainable execution of major events. The focus lies, among other things, on concrete energy, mobility, catering, and waste management measures. Culligan’s partnership supports these efforts by providing water filtration solutions throughout the event venue to serve staff, volunteers, and spectators better water.

“Culligan International was founded 90 years ago to improve water quality with expert service and sustainable solutions. In Austria and around the world, our partnership with the Eurovision Song Contest represents our commitment to transform water, improve everyday life, and protect the planet,” said Robert Stolz, Managing Director, Culligan Austria. “Throughout the event, artists, staff, volunteers, and spectators can hydrate with Culligan water while supporting a more sustainable hydration model.”

A Partnership Focused on Sustainable Impact

Approximately 95,000 tickets have been sold to fans from 75 countries for the nine shows and rehearsals. Each year, around 170 million viewers worldwide watch the Eurovision Song Contest. Around 3,000 staff members work on the world’s largest TV show, while approximately 1,000 journalists are accredited onsite for the ESC Media Centre. With 10 plumbed‑in water stations throughout the production and backstage areas, staff, volunteers, artists, and the public can choose between chilled, still, hot, or sparkling filtered drinking water. Culligan provides solutions that adapt to a wide range of needs, while ensuring consistently high standards of quality, hygiene, and service.

The science-backed Culligan solutions onsite boast the exclusive Firewall® UV‑C technology, an innovative advancement as the water stations deliver microbiologically safe water at the point of use. The water served is purer and better tasting, naturally microfiltered, chilled, or sparkling. The dispensers are also equipped with active carbon filtration to reduce unpleasant tastes and odors and to reduce microplastics, ensuring high‑quality drinking water for all users.
