CSA Group is pleased to announce the availability of new certification services for press-connect fittings that are designed to complement your currently certified product designs.
These services are outlined in the recently published IAPMO Z1117 and ASME B16.51 standards for manufacturers of copper, copper alloy, carbon steel, and stainless steel press connect fittings.
Here’s how these standards apply to your products:
- IAPMO Z1117 covers press connections with copper, copper alloy fittings (type K, L, M copper tube), carbon steel fittings (Schedule 10, 40), and stainless steel fittings (Schedule 5, 10, 40 pipes).
- ASME B16.51 covers press-connect fittings made of cast copper, wrought copper, and wrought copper alloy. It is designed for use with a hard-drawn seamless copper tube (ASTM B88) in water-conveying piping systems. The system has a maximum pressure rating of 1,380 kPa from 0°C to 93°C.
