Copper Development Association Promotes Adam Estelle to President and CEO

Adam EstelleThe Copper Development Association Inc. (CDA) has named Adam Estelle as its new President and CEO, effective May 1, 2024. Estelle, who most recently served as the association’s Vice President, will succeed Andrew G. Kireta Jr. as the sixth leader of the association.

Estelle moves to the top executive position following nearly 16 years with the association. He joined CDA in 2008 and served as project engineer for seven years before becoming the director of rod and bar. Then in 2022, he became vice president of the association. “As president and CEO, Adam Estelle is well equipped to oversee a team of subject matter experts who work toward CDA’s mission of bringing the value of copper and its alloys to society to address the challenges of today and tomorrow!” said Michael O’Shaughnessy, Chairman of the CDA Board.

“I’m honored and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead the next chapter in CDA’s bright future,” Estelle said. “With a strong team in place, I look forward to sharpening our mission focus, enhancing our member value proposition, and strengthening our strategic partnership with the International Copper Association.”
