Canadian Regulatory Council on Plumbing Receives 2022 Joseph K. Seidner Award from CIPH

Canadian Regulatory Council on Plumbing (CRCP), 2022 Joseph K. Seidner Award Recipient from CIPHThe Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH) presented the Canadian Regulatory Council on Plumbing (CRCP) with the 2022 Joseph K. Seidner award for their significant contributions made these past two years.

The CRCP played a key role in ensuring the health and safety of all Canadians especially during Covid-19.

The presentation took place at the annual Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing Meeting on August 16, 2022 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

The Canadian Advisory Council on Plumbing provides a forum for industry, regulators, and product certification organizations to share new concepts and ideas, discuss policy and programs, and review innovations and new technologies that affect plumbing standards, as well as the certification and testing of plumbing products.

The group plays a significant role in ensuring that the integrity of water supplies and sanitation systems is not compromised, which in turn contributes to sustaining the health and wellbeing of citizens in Canada. Under the shadow of the coronavirus, the world focused on the health-related importance of plumbing like never before. As we take extra precautions to protect ourselves from illness by washing hands and sanitizing areas where we live and work, let’s remember that plumbing is our first line of defense. Plumbing literally saves lives and improves the world.

The award was established by the CIPH Board of Directors in November 2000 to honor Joseph K. Seidner, the first recipient and an industry leader and friend of CIPH. Mr. Seidner passed away in 2003 at the age of 96.  The award honors his legacy in the standards community.
