What about maintaining system performance? Magnetic separators that require disassembly for cleaning are notoriously messy, but not with the XF’s “clean hands” process. To purge the system of impurities, turn off the circulator, open the blowdown valve, remove the pullout magnet stem from the dry well, and rotate the top knob to brush the internal mesh filter free of debris.
To reduce hydraulic pumping resistance, a 50 percent bypass feature is standard on some models. The XF is available in 1-, 1½-, and 1¼-inch NPT press and sweat connections.
