The Water Quality Association has announced that its 2025 Convention & Exposition will be held in Long Beach, California. This signature event of the water treatment industry is expected to attract more than 3,000 dealers, manufacturers, and consultants from around the world to the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center on April 22–24, 2025.
“We listened to our audience and have responded: We’re trading the casinos of Las Vegas for the beaches of Southern California,” said WQA Events Director Angie Silberhorn. “This beautiful, urban waterfront center with thousands of nearby hotel rooms will allow us to offer a more organic networking experience while helping exhibitors and attendees manage their budgets and maximize their ROI.”
Returning to Long Beach, the site of WQA’s 2000 and 1991 conventions, provides high quality and value for participants:
- A venue that is intimate and accessible, optimizing networking opportunities
- A wide variety of nearby hotels available in the WQA block to meet all budgets and tastes
- More reasonable exhibitor and event costs, allowing WQA to avoid large increases in registration and exhibition fees
- Three major international airports (including Los Angeles International) within 25 miles, making travel convenient, particularly for international attendees
Long Beach has invested more than $1 billion in its downtown waterfront, transforming it into one of the most dynamic seaside destinations in the country, Silberhorn said. The city sees an average 345 days of sunshine each year with the year-round average temperature in the 70s. More than 120 restaurants and bars are within eight blocks of the convention center.
“The Convention Center is exceptional and will meet and likely exceed what attendees valued in 2023 at the lovely new Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, which our event had already outgrown,” Silberhorn said.
The 2025 Convention & Exposition is the most comprehensive annual gathering of water treatment professionals in North America. Education sessions are offered on all three days, and the exposition displays the latest products and services in residential, commercial, and industrial water treatment.
