ASPE’s Capital Region NY and Central New York Chapters are holding their first annual Clay Shooting Event on September 30 at the Vernon National Shooting Preserve in Vernon Center, New York (3291 Burns Road). Sign-in and breakfast will begin at 9 a.m., with a mandatory safety brief at 10 a.m. and a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. An awards banquet with a buffet dinner and prizes will start at 2 p.m.
The entry fee of single shooter ($125) or foursome ($450) includes one golf cart per team, ammo, one shotgun rental per team, meals, giveaways, and awards banquet. Great door prizes will be awarded at the dinner. Those joining just for dinner is $40 (meals and banquet with prizes included).
Please bring your own ear plugs and eye protection (glasses or sunglass will work). They need to be worn the entire time while on the course.
If you’ve never shot before, Vernon National provides professional guides that will help you every step of the way. Newbies and experts are all welcome.
