Join us next week at the 2017 ASPE Technical Symposium
The 2017 ASPE Technical Symposium kicks off next Thursday at the Hotel Bonaventure Montreal with the Product Show from 4–8 p.m., which then continues on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Following the Product Show, our two-day Technical Education Program offers 35+ sessions on a variety of topics for all career levels, and you can earn up to 1.2 CEUs by participating. You still have time to sign up for one of our registration options either online or in-person, so please make plans to join us next week!

ASPE to host committee meetings at the 2017 Technical Symposium
Those who are attending the 2017 Technical Symposium are invited to our open committee meetings, which are being held October 21–22 at the Hotel Bonaventure Montreal. The following ASPE committees will be meeting: Women of ASPE, Main Design Standards, Long-Range Planning, Membership, Research Foundation, Legislative, and Education. The times and locations of the meetings can be found at 2017tech.aspe.org/schedule.html.

Just announced: NFPA 99 webinar is being held November 1
This one-hour webinar presented by Mark Allen will discuss the changes expected to appear in the 2018 edition of NFPA 99: Health Care Facilities Code, Chapter 5, that are relevant to medical gas and vacuum systems. You will earn 0.1 CEU or 1.0 PDH for participating, and registration is open at aspe.org/NFPA99-2018.

ASPE Journal seeks articles and case studies
Publishing an article in ASPE Journal is a great way to show off your skills as a plumbing engineer or designer. We currently are taking submissions for future issues on nonproprietary topics and case studies related to plumbing system design. Sign up for our CPD Review Class to get help preparing for the exam
ASPE is hosting a 1.5-day class on November 30 and December 1 at our headquarters near O'Hare airport in Chicago for those who are planning on taking the 2018 Certified in Plumbing Design exam on April 5 and 6. Registration is open at aspe.org/cpdreviewclass.

Need help getting a degree in engineering? Apply now for the 2018 Alfred Steele Scholarship
