Check out these resources to help prepare for the 2017 CPD exam
The four-part CPD Review Webinar Series discusses the systems covered in the exam and contains updated formulas and practice questions. Practice questions also can be found in the CPD Review Manual and online at the third-party website used for exam registration. Several ASPE Chapters are holding CPD review classes around the country, so be sure to contact your local Chapter President to see what is available in your area. The 2017 CPD exam is being held at testing sites around the world on April 6 and 7, and registration is open at aspe.org/cpdexam.
ASPE announces intent to revise two WQA sustainability standards
WQA/ASPE/NSF S-802: Sustainable Treatment Media for Drinking Water Applications will be revised to add a module on ion-exchange resins. WQA/ASPE/NSF S-803: Sustainable Drinking Water Treatment Systems will be revised to add modules on self-regenerating cation exchange water softeners and ion-exchange resins. A/E employment reaches an all-time high
In December 2016, A/E employment totaled 1,453,800, topping the previous all-time high of 1,453,000 in February 2008, according to the U.S. Department of Labor. In related news, engineering firm leaders are optimistic about improved profitability in all public market sectors, with water and wastewater coming in second, according to the American Council of Engineering Companies' Engineering Business Index.
Construction firms plan to expand this year
