Taught by IMAGINiT instructors, this workshop is intended to introduce participants to the software\u2019s user interface and the basic plumbing and piping tools. It is highly recommended that you have experience and knowledge in plumbing engineering and its terminology prior to taking the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will learn the concepts and principles of creating 3D parametric models of plumbing and piping systems from engineering design through construction documentation to take full advantage of building information modeling. The course will also familiarize participants with the tools required to create, document, and print the parametric model. The examples and practices are designed to take you through the basics of a plumbing project from creating spaces and plumbing networks to populating construction documents.<\/p>\n<p>Participants will learn the process of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Navigating within different views, drawing, and utilizing the modification tools<\/li>\n<li>Inserting and connecting plumbing components and using the system browser<\/li>\n<li>Linking Revit files and linking\/importing CAD files<\/li>\n<li>Creating spaces<\/li>\n<li>Producing plumbing networks with plumbing fixtures and pipes<\/li>\n<li>Generating plumbing systems with automatic piping layouts<\/li>\n<li>Testing piping systems<\/li>\n<li>Populating and annotating construction documents<\/li>\n<li>Creating and annotating construction documents<\/li>\n<li>Adding tags and forming schedules<\/li>\n<li>Detailing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>20.0 PDHs or 2.0 CEUs (20 contact hours) will be awarded for this three-day workshop, and registration is open at <a href=\"https:\/\/education.aspe.org\/products\/revit-fundamentals-for-plumbing-and-piping-systems-virtual-workshop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ASPE Education<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ASPE Education has announced a new virtual workshop, &#8220;Revit Fundamentals for Plumbing and Piping Systems,&#8221; which will be held on August 4-6, 2020.
