The American Water Works Association (AWWA) has announced that Kathryn Sorensen, Director of Research at the Kyl Center for Water Policy at Arizona State University and former Director of Phoenix Water Services and Mesa Water Resources, will deliver the keynote address at the 2025 Annual Conference & Exposition (ACE25). The conference, a premier event for water professionals, will be held in Denver, Colorado, June 8–11.
“Kathryn Sorensen knows water! She is an inspirational speaker, a strategic leader, and exactly the right voice for this moment in water,” said AWWA CEO David LaFrance. “Her distinguished career in both utility leadership and water policy research has truly elevated our sector.”
Sorensen will speak during the Opening General Session at 9 a.m. MDT, on Monday, June 9, at the Colorado Convention Center.
“I hope that people walk away from ACE25 with a sense of pride in what they do as water professionals, ensuring we continue to support public health, economic opportunity, and quality of life in our communities,” Sorensen said.
With “Elevate” as its central theme, ACE25 will challenge attendees to raise the bar in every facet of water management.
