This one-hour webinar presented by Joseph Messina provides technical information for high-containment systems and components, including systems that treat high-containment waste with pressurized steam or nonpressurized chemicals. Diagrams are offered showing these systems as well as the materials used to construct them. Topics covered include:

- Non-pressurized chemical systems
- Tank materials
- Piping materials
- Leak detection
About the speaker: Joseph V. Messina, CPD
Joseph V. Messina, CPD is a Professional Associate and Discipline Director of Plumbing Engineering and Construction Administration for HDR Architecture, Inc. in Atlanta, Georgia. He has more the 35 years of engineering experience in designing and engineering plumbing systems and has extensive experience with laboratory and vivarium facilities.
Mr. Messina a graduate of Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, has been a member of ASPE since 1988. He serves on Atlanta Chapter Board as VP Education, and on the ASPE Education Committee and writes the Engineer’s Notebook column for Plumbing Engineer magazine.
