Introduction to Plumbing Acoustic Isolation

This one-hour archived webinar will bring awareness to the issue of plumbing noise, its effect on building occupants and how to eliminate it by specifying acoustic isolation solutions. Once the course is over the engineer will be able to recognize the importance of an engineered systems and update plumbing specifications to include these engineered systems.

- Understanding how plumbing noise impacts occupant experience/comfort
- Identifying sources of plumbing noise
- Recognizing contributing factors of plumbing noise
- Identifying cost effective methods of plumbing acoustic isolation
- Best practices for acoustically isolating plumbing systems
- Updating plumbing specifications to incorporate plumbing acoustic isolation
The Presenter: Jim LeStage
Jim is the Specification Sales Manager at HOLDRITE®. Building on his past experience with HOLDRITE® as Head Estimator in new business development, and co-inventor of the rapidly growing HOLDRITE® #117 No-hub Fitting Restraints, Jim continues to make significant contributions to HOLDRITE®’s growth and success. Prior to his tenure at HOLDRITE®, Jim worked nearly 10 years in new construction as a plumbing foreman in Southern California. He successfully completed a variety of projects including the California State University Riverside Pierce Hall Science Building, the County of Riverside Forensics Laboratory and a variety of mid-rise multi-family housing projects. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University San Marcos.
