This one-hour pre-recorded webinar will outline the importance of proper firestopping design and recognizing the advantage of manufactured systems. After the webinar the engineer will be able to recognize the importance of manufactured systems and update plumbing specifications to include manufactured, tested systems. Learning objectives include:
- Understanding what firestopping is
- Understanding the importance of firestopping in design
- Recognizing the advantages of manufactured systems vs. built-in-place systems
- Iidentify correctly applied systems
- Effectively update plumbing specifications

The Presenter: Jim LeStage
Jim is the Specification Sales Manager at HOLDRITE®. Building on his past experience with HOLDRITE® as Head Estimator in new business development, and co-inventor of the rapidly growing HOLDRITE® #117 No-hub Fitting Restraints, Jim continues to make significant contributions to HOLDRITE®’s growth and success. Prior to his tenure at HOLDRITE®, Jim worked nearly 10 years in new construction as a plumbing foreman in Southern California. He successfully completed a variety of projects including the California State University Riverside Pierce Hall Science Building, the County of Riverside Forensics Laboratory and a variety of mid-rise multi-family housing projects. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University San Marcos.
