Congratulations Chapter membership award winners!
The Chapter Membership Growth Award is presented to the top three ASPE Chapters in each of two categories with the highest percentage of growth.
The winners of the award for Chapters with 99 or fewer members are Toronto (Region 2), Seattle ( Region 4), and  Alabama (Region 3). The winners of the award for Chapters with 100 or more members are  Dallas/Ft. Worth ( Region 5), Phoenix (Region 4), and  Los Angeles ( Region 4).

The Chapter Membership Retention Award is given to Chapters that retained 90 percent or more of their previous year's membership. The recipients are:

  • Region 1: Central New York, Long Island,  Virginia Blue Ridge
  • Region 2: Buffalo-Niagara, Eastern Michigan,  Johnstown,  Pittsburgh, Rochester, Toronto
  • Region 3: Columbia, Greenville,  West Coast Florida
  • Region 4: Northern California, Phoenix
  • Region 5: Central Illinois, Central Texas,  Kansas City

WOA selects two scholarship recipients to attend the 2018 ASPE Convention & Expo
Aubrey Ann Tran received a full scholarship, which covers registration, hotel, travel, and expenses. She joined ASPE on October 6, 2017,  is a member of the Central Illinois Chapter, and is a  Mechanical Designer at Shive Hattery. Charyel Lyn Adair received a $500 stipend to go toward expenses to attend the event. This was made possible by Dann Holmes, winner of the 2017 WOA membership drive, who generously donated his winnings back to WOA to help a deserving member attend the ASPE Convention & Expo.  Charyel has been a member since September 6, 2010 and is currently a Plumbing Designer at Bernhard TME.  To learn more about WOA, visit  aspe.org/woa or contact skidd@aspe.org .

July is Smart Irrigation Month

U.S. water use falls to a 45-year low
