Emerging Water Technology Symposium provides a forum to discuss the industry's future
Last week, more than 150 industry professionals attended the sixth biennial EWTS in Ontario, California to discuss new technologies, emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the fields of water and energy efficiency. ASPE co-convened the EWTS with the Alliance for Water Efficiency, IAMPO, and Plumbing Manufacturers International in cooperation with the World Plumbing Council. ASPE announces Derreck Kayongo as the 2018 ASPE Convention & Expo keynote speaker
Global human rights activist Derreck Kayongo will be presenting the keynote address at the 2018 ASPE Convention & Expo, which is being held in Atlanta on September 28 – October 3. The keynote address will be part of the ASPE Breakfast Award Ceremony on October 1 prior to the beginning of the Expo. Three students receive 2018 Alfred Steele Scholarships
We are pleased to announce that the following students received ASPE Alfred Steele Scholarships this year to help them in their pursuit of a career in engineering:

  • Miya Preston, who attends the Milwaukee School of Engineering, has a 3.0 GPA, and is majoring in Architectural Engineering, received $2,000.
  • Sarah Wood, who graduated from Thunder Basin High School with a 3.87 GPA and will attend the University of Wyoming to major in Mechanical Engineering, received $500.
  • Jonathan Capua, who attends the University of Alaska–Anchorage, has a 3.475 GPA, and is majoring in Civil Engineering, received $1,500.

Revit MEP workshop is being held in Charlotte on June 29
Intermediate users of Revit MEP will learn how to take their projects to the next level at this hands-on, full-day workshop. You will earn 0.75 CEUs or 7.5 PDHs for attending, and the early bird registration rate ends next Friday so register soon at aspe.org/revit2018.

ASPE members in good standing are encouraged to apply for one of the 12 elected positions on the 2018–2020 ASPE Board of Directors.
