This one-hour pre-recorded webinar, presented by Mitch Clemente, will briefly discuss the history of specifications, MasterFormat and a review of the different parts of a specification (Part 1 General, Part 2 Products, Part 3 Execution). In addition, the following topics will be discussed:
- Common problems that the specifier should be aware of.
- Why you should consider specifying one manufacturer over another.
- The importance of holding the specification.
This webinar will also include a detailed discussion on the most common types of plumbing equipment such as thermometers and gauges, valves, insulation, drains and cleanouts, emergency fixtures and plumbing fixtures and the most important things that you need to consider when writing your specifications.
The Presenter: Mitch Clemente, CPD
Mitch is the Mechanical Project Manager for Westlake Reed Leskosky in Cleveland, Ohio and has been a member of ASPE since 1993. He continues to be an active member of the Cleveland Chapter and earned his CPD certification in 1998. He has been in the field for more than 30 years, designing projects including educational, institutional, health care, retail, hospitality and sporting facilities. His focus is on mechanical engineering, plumbing and fire protection systems, as well as the preparation of project specifications, construction administration and project management.
He served on the Cleveland Chapter’s BOD for 10 years and on ASPE’s board of directors for the past 4 years.
