Presented by: Bill Varone at the 2008 Convention

This presentation will provide the participant with the requirements for design, layout, installation, and acceptance of foam systems using NFPA 16: Standard for the Installation of Foam-Water Sprinkler and Foam-Water Spray Systems. The program will cover the requirements for designing all required equipment, accessories, piping, heads, alarms, panels, and sizing of the storage tank to provide the proper amount of foam for coverage within the designated area. These types of systems are used in conjunction with NFPA 409: Aircraft Hangers and NFPA 30: Flammable and Combustible Liquids Code.
