This webinar will explain the requirements of ICC/ANSI A117.1 and the Fair Housing Accessiblity Act. The presenter will discuss the differences in application and enforcement and how they interface. Additionally, attendees will hear some of the installation requirements by product category, reach ranges and floor space requirements. Also hear what can happen when states jurisdictions that have their own statutes and ordinances.
About the Speaker: Daniel J. Bartz
Dan Bartz is a Staff Analyst for the Codes & Standards Department of the Kohler Co., New Products Development Engineering Group for the Plumbing Division, North America. Dan’s career with Kohler has spanned 34 years to date and has included responsibilities in Quality Assurance Engineering, Supervision of Kohler Plumbing Test Laboratories, leading up to his current position. Dan has served 20+ years as a member of the Technical Plumbing Advisory Task Groups to the ICC/ANSI A117.1 and the ADA Standards Committees supporting development of accessibility standards for Usable and Accessible Buildings.
