This one-hour webinar will provide a basic overview of New trends in interceptor designs and installations. The presenter will discuss current options and new adaptations that are being offered as well as:

  • FOG Alarm and sensing Devices
  • FOG (Grease) Ordinances vs. Plumbing Code requirements
    • Requirements that may effect design choices
  • Grease interceptor requirements in the 2012 UPC and IPC
  • Grease interceptor proposals for IPC 1015
    • Sizing Gravity Grease interceptors

 

 

 

The Speaker: Rand Ackroyd - Executive Director, PDI

Rand Ackroyd is the Executive Director of the Plumbing and Drainage Institute (PDI), and has been associated with them for 15 years.

 
Rand has been an active member of IAPMO, ICC, ASSE, ABPA, ASME, AWWA and USCFCCC. He received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University. His carrier began in 1972 with plumbing product design. After 25 years in product development, in 1997 he founded Rand Technical Consulting. Rand Technical Consulting participates in the development of Model Plumbing Codes,UPC and, IPC and NSPC and Plumbing Product standards and provides engineering expertise for litigation. He holds 15 US patents in plumbing product designs, the majority dealing with backflow prevention.
