NFPA 13D is the National Fire Protection Association standard for the installation of sprinkler systems in single-family homes, townhomes, and manufactured homes. This webinar is designed to help participants understand the requirements of this standard, as well as International Residential Code (IRC), International Building Code (IBC), and International Fire Code (IFC) requirements for residential fire sprinkler systems, including sprinkler types, sprinkler spacing, obstruction rules, water supplies, and piping systems. This one-hour residential fire sprinkler training webinar will be presented by fire suppression industry expert James R. Schifiliti of Fire Safety Consultants, Inc. Plumbing engineers and designers will not want to miss this opportunity to be educated on the NFPA 13D requirements for designing and installing fire sprinkler systems in residential occupancies.
 

The Presenter: Jim Schifiliti

Jim Schifiliti is CEO of Fire Safety Consultants, Inc., in Elgin, Illinois. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors Degree in Technical Education and an Associate's Degree in Fire Protection Technology. He is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and served on the NFPA 231D Storage of Rubber Tires Committee. He currently serves on the NFPA 24 Private Fire Service Mains and Their Appurtenances. He is a member of the International Code Council (ICC) and served on the International Fire Code Development Committee and a member of the ICC Terrorist Building Committee. Mr. Schifiliti serves on the Advisory Board of the Oklahoma State University School of Fire Protection and Safety. He is an adjunct professor at Oklahoma State University.
